Cost & Choosing a Provider

How to choose a red light therapy studio

Studios vary a lot — from a single panel to a walk-in bed. Here is what differs, and the questions worth asking before you book.

Red light therapy panels glowing in a treatment room

Walk into two red light therapy studios and you can get very different set-ups for a similar price. Knowing what you are looking at makes it easier to pick one that suits you.

Panels vs beds

Most studios run one of two formats: standing panels you position yourself in front of, or a lie-down bed that surrounds you. Beds are more hands-off and cover more of the body at once; panels let you target an area and tend to cost less per session.

Questions worth asking

  • How long is a standard session, and is there a limit on how often you can come?
  • Is the room private, and how is the equipment cleaned between people?
  • Do they offer intro rates or packs, and what does a single session cost?

What you will pay

Single sessions in Australia commonly land between $25 and $60, with packs and memberships bringing the per-visit price down. Use the red light therapy pages on RecoveryMap to compare studios near you.
